About event
Georgian National Ballet Sukhishvili, founded in 1945 by Iliko Sukhishvili and Nino Ramishvili, is the first professional state dance company in Georgia. Over the years of its existence, the group has gained international recognition, performing at such prestigious venues as the Royal Albert Hall, the Coliseum, the Metropolitan Opera and Madison Square Garden. In 1967 they became the first folk group to perform at La Scala. Today the artistic director and general manager of the troupe is Tengiz Sukhishvili, the son of the founders.
The concert of the Georgian National Ballet Sukhishvili at the Tsinandli Estate promises to become a significant cultural event. The Tsinandli estate, located in a picturesque area, is an ideal place for holding events of this level. The historical significance and architectural beauty of the estate create a unique atmosphere that promotes complete immersion in the art of dance.
On the stage of the Tsinandli Estate, spectators will be able to enjoy the skill of dancers who will present traditional Georgian dances in modern interpretations. Costumes designed by Simon Virsaladze will add visual splendor to the performance. Currently, the main choreographer of the troupe is Iliko Sukhishvili Jr., and Nino Sukhishvili, the granddaughter of the founders, serves as deputy manager and costume designer.
