On March 10, the Tbilisi State Conservatory named after Vano Sarajishvili will host the «Path to Peace» concert, organized by the famous Hungarian musical ensemble «St. Ephrem’s Male Choir».

This event will be dedicated to the memory of the peaceful victims of the war in Ukraine. The first part of the St. Ephraim Men's Choir program features a memorable and respectful piece of music – Ukrainian requiem by Victor Papp. This work is intended to pay tribute to and memory of the innocent victims of the Ukrainian war, as well as to show the wonderful Ukrainian culture. Composition «Requiem» was first performed at the Budapest Franz Liszt Academy of Music in February 2023 and later shown on Hungarian National Television. Victor Papp, a Hungarian citizen, was born in Ukraine, his mother – From Russia. Therefore, the senseless war turned out to be even more painful for the composer. Together with the St. Ephraim men's choir, he created the project «The Road to Peace», and the premiere of this work took place in various European countries throughout the year.

The second part of the concert program is filled with hope and healing. The magnificent works of Hungarian composers such as Zoltan Kodály and Béla Bartók are combined with hymns, gospels and songs in Greek, Georgian, English, Congolese and Hindi. This creates a unique and exciting combination of classical music, folk tunes and crossover genres that has become a trademark of the St. Ephraim Men's Choir.
